{What to wear}
Your photographs are special, a legacy of who you were for future generations to enjoy!  Below are just a few clothing suggestions for your photo session.

I prefer that families wear color and to coordinate without being carbon copies of each other. I suggest you pick a few colors and have everyone wear different combinations of those colors (sometimes it is easier to pick out one outfit and then work from there). Consider dressing in white sparingly, this color reflects light strongly. Don’t be afraid to layer your clothes and bring extra. I will be more than happy to help you choose an outfit. Please be wary of wild prints, cartoon characters, words and large logos on your family’s clothing. These things can be a distraction from your beautiful family.  Accessories, such as hats, jewelry, sunglasses, scarves, fun belts and shoes, hair flowers, etc. are perfect. Props such as chairs, skateboards, musical instruments, favorite toys are also great and can be a fun addition to your session.

I adore vintage style photographs. If you wish to take advantage of this look, here are some suggestions:

Women: Feminine

Men: Casual
vintage tees & jeans, linen shirts, vests, cardigan sweaters, suspenders, trousers, fedora hat..

Children: Simple cotton dress, boys: linen shirts, vintage tees, bare feet or classic/vintage inspired shoes.
Converse, flip flops & rain boots are also a fun choice. However, I’m not a fan of nike style athletic shoes…or big bow hair barrettes. I do love small flowers in the hair though.

Newborns: No clothing necessary. Bare skin is my favorite so that we capture all the sweet newborn details. Only a soft blanket, diaper cover & maybe a cute knit hat.
